GUTFEELING

The NUTRISAM research group has taken part as coordinator in the H2020-SFS-2016-2017 call; topic identifier: SFS-38-2016: “Impulsivity and compulsivity and the link with nutrition, lifestyle and the socio-economic environment”. The topic is part of the the Work Programme 2016-2017 Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy.

In order to carry out the project, a multidisciplinary consortium (the GUTFEELING consortium) of 24 research centres and 15 companies (from 14 Member States) has been created. The consortium is composed by leading experts in human behavioural and psychological assessment, environmental exposure, nutrition, gut microbiota, genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, systems biology, etc.

The first GUTFEELING consortium meeting, held on June in Barcelona, was very successful. It was a very high and active participation of consortium members in the meeting, focused on defining the overall action plan for the project.

The proposal was successful in the first stage evaluation, reaching the final stage, and the full project proposal has been recently submitted to the European Commission for their evaluation.
